Old Metal Cast Fluted Posts become pergola.

History saved-
The cast iron posts are from a demo in Albany. It has been told to me they are from the 1800's.
They are now re-worked and erected as a pergola at a home over looking Lake George NY.
The wood slats for top will be installed in the spring.
We have more antique post available if your interested please contact Ballard Road Art Studio, Wilton NY at 518-587-8706.

Don’t get SCAMMED by the Lying Art- Life- Creativity Coach in NY’s Capital Region

While at the art opening of Albany Center Gallery, It was brought to my attention AGAIN that there is a Life Coach/ Art Coach/ Creativity Coach (HA!HA!HA!) from Albany/ Amsterdam NY saying that she is representing me!

THIS IS NOT AT ALL TRUE! ......And if she is she sucks at it!

I believe the only coaching being done by this person, is your money into her pocket!
This is very Bad not reasonable or acceptable behavior by any business person, including a Albany Chamber of Commerce employee.

- I love working with others in an honest supportive forward way.
So if you’re being scammed by this person I suggest you request your money back!!!

And for me she should make it right because of how wrong it is!

I have 4 shows currently running for further information my web site is- http://www.michellevara.com so please feel free to check my work out in person or contact me directly!
Peace and good art health!

Golden Retriever Wall Sculpture

Metal dog sculpture painted in copper fashion, with green translucent mountains in the background, was installed yesterday. Goldie the dog looks awesome in person and seems to lose a lot in the picture transition.

Thank you Matt and Wanda.

Magic in the Mundane

www.michellevara.com
Sometimes there is magic in the mundane. The trick for all writers, artists and photographers is to pay attention to one's surroundings. From A Writer's Book of Days by Judy Reeves:
"..Describe the texture of moonlight on your bedroom ceiling or the face of the old man down the street as he walked his dog? 'The truth is in the details,' someone once said and the only way to know the truth is to pay attention.
"Paying attention brings into focus the specificity not only of good writing, but of mindful living. The great spiritual leader Thieh Nhat Hanh said mindfulness is to be present in the present moment. It is in the present moment you find the details that will enrich your writing and bring it to life. "There is ecstasy in paying attention," said Anne Lamott.
"As you awaken in the morning, notice the light in your room, the wrinkle of sheets, the smell of air. Be present as you go through your day, mindful of such details as the mist rising from the orange you peel, the ridges of pattern in the peel's colour that fade to yellow near the green nub of stem and the stem's starlike pattern."
"...By paying attention and writing what you perceive, you find your own truth and this is what you will pass on in your writing." -Tara Bradford
